growing and growing and growing…

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

I am now 33 1/2 weeks pregnant with Baby Boy.  I say half because anybody that has been pregnant knows that how much each half a week counts.  I’ll be 34 weeks on Wednesday.  Baby Boy is an active and incredibly strong little guy.  In comparison to Charlotte, he kicks me in the ribs or whatever might be in the way, whereas she just kind of rolled around and I received soft little kicks.  He also seems to kick all the time, night or day, when I’m moving or just sitting.  I hope I can settle this little guy down when he comes out!!  :)  We’re getting very excited to meet him.  The countdown is really on!  Charlotte was ten days early so I’m trying to be extra ready for whenever he decides to make his grand entrance to meet the world.  Enjoy the pic!

Uncle Tom

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Charlotte got some one on one time with Uncle Tom (my sister’s husband).  Tom’s parents live relatively close to us.  By the end of the night, Charlotte was climbing up on the couch and crawling all over him.  We wish they all lived closer!!  CO is too far!

Imagine That

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Charlotte went to her friend Chase’s 2nd birthday party at a place called Imagine That, a children’s museum.  Chase and her are buds, so sweet.  She had a great time.  Here are a few pics of her playing.

Pumpkin Picking

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

We went over to Wightman Farms to go pumpkin picking again.  It was a gray day but we had a wonderful time.  It’s hard to believe that last year we were balancing her on a pumpkin to get a picture!  It was very hard to pick pictures to post because there were so many funny ones.  Also, it’s so cute to hear her try and say pumpkin.  It ends up coming out something like pupky.  :)  Pretty good for an 18 month old though, I think!

Charlotte loved these!  She really got a kick out of them.  She continued to go back and stick her head through them.

Hook ‘em

Charlotte and Daddy got decked out in their UT gear for the UT/OU game this past Saturday.  For those of you who aren’t obsessed with UT football (unlike our home), UT won!

Kaiser the horse

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

This is her newest Kaiser “trick”, sitting on top of him.  He doesn’t mind one bit.  Such a good good boy.  He usually just continues to chew on his bone.  It’s amazing he doesn’t mind considering how she walks around telling him “no no no no kaisy” pointing her little finger at him.  so funny…

Belly to Belly

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Charlotte loves to pull my shirt up and play with my belly and belly button.  She then pulls her shirt up and rubs her own belly.  We tried to capture the moment but she wasn’t quite cooperating.

VIDEOS: Love for Kaiser and her baby

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

Charlotte has always had a love for Kaiser, it’s just taken him longer to find that love for her.  I definitely think he’s coming around.  Check out the funny videos of them.  These were taken in the same day.

Another funny story from today.  Charlotte somehow got a hold of some diaper cream this afternoon.  I found her sitting on her chair with her baby with the tube open putting cream on her babies face.  While I should be a little upset, I thought ‘how smart is that!’  SO smart!  We put lotion on every night after her bath and she helps, so she was just putting lotion on her baby in her mind!  so funny.  this is a video of her cleaning her baby off after the fact.  So incredibly sweet and cute!  Enjoy!

18 Months Old

Thursday, October 15th, 2009

I forgot to mention that Charlotte turned 18 months recently.  At her 18 month check up she weighed in at 22.5 pounds and 32.5 inches.  This puts her at the 30th and 75th percentile respectively.  She is definitely a growing girl!  However, in order to measure her they laid her down and measured her (literally screaming and being held down).  Afterward she was standing next to the growth chart and was just over the 30 inch mark.  So, I think the height measurement is a little off.  She’s still on the smaller side next to her friends.  Either way she’s growing up SO fast.

Her vocabulary is constantly growing and she’s learned the power of the word “please” or “peas” as Charlotte says it.  Also, at first she had to have her purse with her whenever we left the house and now she’s been obsessed with every baby doll she owns.  I think she went to bed with three of them tonight.  We’re hoping this love continues on with the love of a real life baby boy soon!  :)  She makes the babies kiss and makes kissing noises as she does it.  So sweet!!  She’s really been so fun.  Along with that has come some hard times as well.  She’s getting all four canines at the same time which has been really rough.  That said, she has still remained a pretty sweet and easy baby.  I will try and post more stories as there have been so many wonderful ones lately.  In the meantime, check out the sweet videos!

Mommy’s Helper

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Charlotte helped me stir muffins while Daddy was away this past weekend.  She’s getting to be such a big girl.  It makes me kind of sad!

The Bee

Charlotte decides it’s a better idea to pick up the bumblebee and move it rather than ride it.  Strong girl!
