Eric Valko and Brad joined us from Brooklyn for a couple of days over Thanksgiving.  It was a fun and relaxing time.  This is from Turkey Day!

After a nap…

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

Charlotte’s kind of like her Mommy.  She definitely takes a little bit of time to wake up and join the world after a nap or in the morning.  Here she is wrapped up after a nap just snuggling.

Big girl furniture

We had to get Charlotte a new dresser since Baby Boy will soon be taking over her room.  She’ll be 20 months old when he’s born but I’m just determined not to buy another baby bed.  She’ll be moving into a toddler bed soon after he arrives.  (He’ll be in the bassinet for a few months.)  We got her a new dresser and bookcase.  She’s pretty much moved into them.  Here she is enjoying them!

Whoa Belly

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

I am now over 37 weeks.  That means I could have the baby at any time and he would be fine.  This also means that I have a full size baby in my belly!  I’m definitely feeling big and uncomfortable.  It takes me a long time to do things and it’s also very exhausting, especially with a 19 month old.  Here’s a pic of my big belly.  I feel like someone could stick a pin in me and I would deflate.  Craziness!!  Charlotte was 10 days early so we’ll just have to wait and see!

Helper

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Charlotte is such a helper lately.  Really wants to help with EVERYTHING.  Here she is helping me make banana muffins one morning and then a couple of days later helping Eric put together her new bookcase.  Can’t wait for her to help with Baby Boy soon!

Long lost friend

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

About a week ago Eric and I drove half way to Philly to meet one of my good friends, Rosanna, that I worked with in Dallas.  We haven’t seen each other in years but we picked up where we left off.  She has a one year old little girl named Abby now.  It was great seeing her and her family.  I wish we lived closer!

Charlotte’s friend, Ava, turned two this past weekend.  They enjoyed cake and play time together.

Potty Time

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I had a very proud moment as a mommy.  This same moment was also incredibly humorous.  To start off the story I have to begin by saying that I bought a little potty a few weeks ago.  I bought it purely just to get her used to it.  I have not been trying to potty train her for a couple of reasons.  One being I assume she will regress a little when baby boy comes.  The next is that I just assume she’s too young.  We talk about the potty and she sits on it fully clothed and maybe once without a diaper.

Now, a few nights ago our little family was hanging out in the living room.  It was bath time, so I stripped Charlotte down to nothing, diaper and all, and went to start her bath.  She was hanging out with Eric and after a few minutes followed me to the bathroom.  She proceeded to grab a magazine from the basket (Land of Nod - very colorful) and sit on her potty.  I thought she was just sitting and playing, but when she got up she had peed!!!  I was so shocked I screamed out of joy of course.  The look on her face was one of confusion.  Then Eric came in and we threw her a little party.  She was very happy and excited.  Every night since (we’re on the third), I’ve done the same thing and she’s peed in her potty.  I guess she understands more than I give her credit for.  Smart little 19 month old!!!  And funny too!!

I just had to share because it was so funny!  All of those parents out there can relate!

VIDEO: Dancing Fool

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

This is a video of Charlotte dancing before bed time.  You have to wait for it then she really gets in to it.  We have family dance parties all of the time so it’s no wonder she’s such a dancer.

Ponytail

Monday, November 9th, 2009

I finally got Charlotte’s hair in a ponytail, well for about 30 minutes at least.  She pulled it out as soon as she could.  Her hair actually is longer than it looks.  It’s just really curly.  Her hair was so cute in the ponytail.  She looked like such a big girl!

Eric was building a fire and Charlotte thought this would be the perfect time to climb all over him.  I mean, why not?  It was really cute.

Halloween in Pittsburgh

Monday, November 9th, 2009

We went to Pittsburgh to visit the Rosenbergs for a last minute trip and just a last trip before baby boy enters the world.  It was wonderful seeing the Rosenbergs.  Collin and Charlotte were precious all dressed up and trick or treating together.  The cutest pig and dragon you’ve ever seen.  They did go to about three houses and actually got some treats.  The sugar definitely effected Charlotte.  I don’t think she quite knew what to do with herself, running around and pulling on Collin.  Poor Collin.  :)

Halloween Preparty in Morristown

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

My Mom’s Club had a “Trick or Trunk” Party for our little guys the Thursday before Halloween.  It was so much fun to see everyone dressed up and a great excuse to get some use out of Charlotte’s costume.  I didn’t see any other piggies all of Halloween.  It was just precious on her!
