Lucas Ryan Schwarte

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Lucas was born on 12/14/09 at 4:26pm.  He weighs 9lbs 5oz and is 21 inches long!  He’s got black/brown hair and dimples in each cheek.  He definitely looks like his big sister but then his features are different.  Here are some first pics of our sweet boy.

Visitors under the age of 18 aren’t allowed in the hospital due to the H1N1 virus so Charlotte gets to meet her new baby brother tomorrow when we go home!

Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful emails, texts, and phone calls!  We can’t wait to introduce baby Lucas to everyone!

Love,

Daddy and Charlotte went for a hike on Saturday.  It was pretty chilly outside.  The camo was Daddy’s special purchase.

Charlotte’s best friend… he just doesn’t know it yet

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Charlotte put stickers on Kaiser and he tolerated it, I think, because it felt good.  Notice the stickers on his back.  She’s hugging him here.  Poor boy just doesn’t know that he’s getting another one tomorrow.  :)

VIDEOS: Cookies and Outside

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

I’m trying to update our blog with some recent pictures as I anticipate the next week will be very busy and the pics will be with our new baby boy!  These are videos from the day we went to pick out our Christmas tree.  It was a beautiful day.

40+ weeks and still here…

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

I’m officially past due and incredibly surprised.  As I mentioned before, Charlotte was 10 days early so I assumed that this little guy would be somewhere on the same path.  I know this won’t be the last time he reminds me that these are two different babies, two different pregnancies.  I think he’s just too happy and cozy at this point.  While I seem to be trying everything to make baby boy come out naturally, he’s just not cooperating.  We have been advised by the doctors to be induced on Monday and decided to go forward with it.  I’m a little nervous about the whole process but extremely excited to meet the new addition to our family.  Eric and I like to do things as naturally as possible so hopefully everything will go smoothly.  We’ll keep everyone posted!!

In the meantime, I feel like I’ve gotten a few things accomplished with my extra time.  My mom has been here for over a week and Charlotte’s been loving all the extra attention.  It’s been very nice to run errands and get things organized.

Oh, I’ll try and post some belly pics before then.  He’s still very active and my belly is huge!  It still amazes me!

so many faces, so little time…

Charlotte is so silly and has SO many faces to go with it.  Here are just a few I managed to capture in just a few minutes.

Christmas Tree

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

Charlotte had a great time picking out the Christmas tree this past Sunday.  She ran around and touched all of them.  She was very “helpful.”  :)  We’re excited to have the tree up and it definitely feels like the holidays in our house now.
