The past few weeks have been a huge adjustment but I think we’re finally figuring things out…  well, a little at least.  :)  Charlotte is such a lover and always wants to “help” with Lucas.  Here are some pics of just the two of them I’ve captured over the past few weeks beginning right after Christmas - so when Lucas was about 2 weeks old until about 6 weeks.

So, I’m FINALLY getting around to posting Christmas pics.  The Schwarte clan came to visit us since we weren’t able to fly anywhere with Lucas.  It was wonderful to have family here!  It was a small but very nice Christmas.  We loved showing Lucas off and Charlotte had so much fun with Mimi & Opa and Aunt Christine & Uncle Matty.

These were from Christmas Eve after Mass.  Lucas was 10 days old!

This was on Christmas morning.  Charlotte was so excited about all the presents that were now in her living room.  It was so fun watching her sweet face light up!

During their visit over Christmas Aunt Christine and Mimi brought Gingerbread cookies to decorate.  Charlotte pretty much just ate the icing and all the other yummy things that we put on the cookies.  She loved every minute of it.  It was so much fun!

I truly can’t believe that Lucas is one month old already but it also seems like he’s been a part of our family forever.  He’s a very sweet snuggly boy.  He’s so strong already too, picking up his head and pushing with his feet.  So much more physical than I remember Charlotte being.  He loves to “talk” these days and has been making eye contact with me more and more.  Here’s a cute pic of him when he was 2 1/2 weeks old.  I have so many but I’m still working on posting pics from Christmas!  NO time!!

We got about a foot of snow right before Christmas.  We attempted to go sledding.  Although beautiful and fun, it was some what of a failed attempt.  Charlotte screamed while on the sled and the snow was too fluffy to sled on.  It was perfect for snow angels though!

I’m so sorry that I haven’t posted more pics of our sweet Lucas.  It has been a whirlwind of two and a half weeks.  Such a huge adjustment having a newborn baby in our house again.  Here are a few pics that we took in the hospital of Lucas.  I will post more recent ones soon.  I promise!!

Lucas was born on 12/14/09 at 4:26pm.  He weighs 9lbs 5oz and is 21 inches long!  He’s got black/brown hair and dimples in each cheek.  He definitely looks like his big sister but then his features are different.  Here are some first pics of our sweet boy.

Visitors under the age of 18 aren’t allowed in the hospital due to the H1N1 virus so Charlotte gets to meet her new baby brother tomorrow when we go home! 

Thanks everyone for all of the wonderful emails, texts, and phone calls!  We can’t wait to introduce baby Lucas to everyone!

This will be my last belly pic as tomorrow is the big day to meet our baby boy.  My belly is very nice and round.  We’re very excited to go from a family of three to a family of four!!  I know Charlotte will be an amazing big sister!!

Family of three for one more day!

Daddy and Charlotte went for a hike on Saturday.  It was pretty chilly outside.  The camo was Daddy’s special purchase.

Charlotte put stickers on Kaiser and he tolerated it, I think, because it felt good.  Notice the stickers on his back.  She’s hugging him here.  Poor boy just doesn’t know that he’s getting another one tomorrow.
